On my capacity overview, my percent utilization is still 0%. I already have network connections as seen on the network tab, the network capacity shows total fiber ports and total copper ports with remaining values. Why is it not reflected on the capacity overview: percent utilization? I can only see the network capacity - no. of ports.

Perhaps the KPI's are not updated yet, usually the capacity circle is daily updated. For a fresh/instant update, go to Tools > Preferences > Capacity History > Record now
(depending on the size of the setup the refresh job might take 10 minutes or so)

Hi Fred, Sorry to hear that it didn't help - I would like to investigate this for you, if possible could you please collect: a) server logs b) copy of the latest backup file and share with me (via my =S= box). I will send you an invite soon. in DCO, logs are available in Help > Download log files. download might take 5-10 minutes to complete backup files usually located in the /data/backup folder Kind regards

Hi Jeff, I was visiting this customer on another project and manage to take a look on Fred's inquiry. We had notice that most of the network connection are from Switch to Patch and Patch to Patch (back to back connection). On the rack view, its shows the utilization of ports(how many are are used and how many are free correctly) . Now the question whether we calculate the network capacity utilization based on server connection only or we also count the ports utilized by switches? Just for you info, the rack view shows switch port utilization. Best regards, Rayson

Hi Rayson, The Network chart in Capacity circle (Capacity Overview) will display the information about the "Total network ports" and the "used network ports". The "total network ports" is the sum of all ports on the network devices such as switch. Please notice that a patch panel (similar to usual cable) is not a real network device. Only real network devices have the available network ports that would be included in the capacity calculations. But the tool tip displayed in Network overlay may show different information, here you might see all configured port information (patch panels are included as well). Hope this helps. Kind regards
