I have a NetBotz 550 appliance (recently factory reset) with two NetBotz 160 cameras attached.
In Data Center Expert I can see the 550 and the cameras in the device view. But in the surveillance view, the cameras does not show up.
I am able to right-click the cameras and adjust and view their settings and I can also view the cameras form the web page, which would indicate the the cameras are connected and working ..?
How do I enable or change the cameras to show up in surveillance view in DCE?

Have you checked the following tip on How to Enable Surveillance for a NetBotz Camera in DCE?
I hope this helps. If this does not help, please share the screen shots if possible. If possible, please confirm if the DCE is a hardware or VM. Is the Netbotz applinace connected to GB2 port of DCE? Are the DNS details entered correctly in the DCE software?

Hi Bala, Yes, I am aware of your nice guide 🙂 but the issue in this case is that the cameras does not show up in the surveillance perspective at all. Before they do, there is nothing to configure. We can see the NetBotz and the cameras in the Device View and we can also launch to the cameras and see their video feed. The DCE server is a VM appliance and a closed training network running without DNS.

Dear Chris, Greetings! I have faced this kind of issue without DNS. I also request you to verify if the Data Center Expert icon in Netbotz advance view under Configuration shows the IP Address of the DCE server for Surveillance post. If possible, please try with DNS settings, and then re-discover the Netbotz to the DCE and see if the camera thumbnails view shows the camera to enable to License. I also recommend to check the K-base ID: http://www.schneider-electric.co.in/en/faqs/FA176820/ Cause: The DCE client does not load the camera thumbnails because it does not recognize the Windows 8.x jpeg_decoder. Resolution It is recommended Windows 8.x users run the DCE client in Compatibility Mode. This is fixed in DCE 7.2.6 and 7.2.7. This issue has reappeared in DCE 7.3.1. In Windows 8, the following should resolve the issue until it is permenantly resolved: Open up c:\<USER_HOME>\.isxc\7.3.1\.metadata\.plugins\org.eclipse.core.runtime\.settings\org.eclipse.ui.prefs with a text editor such as Notepad. Add the following on it's own line: OVERRIDE_IMAGE_PROCESSOR=true Please make sure that its not OS issue. I hope this helps. I also let other community experts to suggest their solution. Have a nice day!
