Hi every time I boot up my MacBook I always get an error saying apc ups could not be detected check communication cable connected and ups power switched on what dose this mean and how do I solve issue?

Can you tell us what APC UPS are you using and if you have installed any APC software on your Mac i.e. APC PowerChuter Personal Edition? If you do have an APC UPS do you remember if you have used either a USB or Serial cable to connect the MacBook to your APC UPS?

Thanks everyone I got it working I did not have the USB cable plugged into computer.
