When GE obsoleted their DART distribution automation RTUs and left hundreds of customers scrambling for an economical plug and play solution, Schneider Electric, working with a major Southwest US utility, developed the Easergy T300 DART retrofit solution.
The retrofit solution was designed to duplicate the DART's dimensions and wiring terminations, so physical removal and installation of the Easergy T300 takes only minutes;
the Easergy T300's power consumption is only 5W so existing power source can be used;
metering and event logging provides situational awareness;
flexible communications allows for local and remote interrogation.

That is really a great solution and we "just" now need to promote this solution for all US utilities using DART (and there are plenty of them).
In this solution, we reused the existing DART RTU DC supply. But there are also many DART RTUs left without a working AC/DC power supply and I know your team is currently looking at this opportunity as well.
For these, our Easergy PS50 power supply module (also part of the T300 offering) provides a great alternative:
3 separately protected DC outputs: two 12 Vdc, 1 24 Vdc (option for 48 Vdc instead of 24)
power monitoring (all data are provided through a Modbus RTU/ RS-485/ RJ45 output, including the current value of the battery internal resistance - data available as a measurement in Ohms)
use of a single 12 V battery (typically 24 or 38 Ah),
providing autonomy up to 3 days
reverse protection (in case the operator mistakenly invert the plus/minus terminals on PS50, nothing happens, nothing is destroyed like for other power supplies.
protection against deep discharge (when a pre-set level is reached during discharge, PS50 will disconnect physically the battery from PS50 so that to stop any electronic-based discharge)
