i purchased a home inverter (BI800I) in September 2004.when running on battery the battery gets drained soon and the distilled water top-up gets dried -up after a few days.do i have to replace the batteries or is there any other solution? normally what is the "life" of battery shipped with this inverter?

I do not have much experience with the home inverters myself. If nobody else on the forums has any input for you, you may be best off calling APC's technical support in Bangalore.
Call 1800-4254-272 or (080) 2573 7497/8/9 or call Nehal Dixit at 98451 95917
