I've read numerous reports of people finding their ADSL speeds being significantly reduced when plugged into the surge protection sockets. Is this the case for Back-UPS HS?
If I found this to be the case and decided to plug the modem directly into the ADSL socket, but then run it's output via RJ45 cable surge protection then I would only be risking the modem presumably ? Is this acceptable in terms of warranty and equipment protection? Obviously I would Not expect to be covered for the modem but thats not a big deal.
Will it always be the case that the rj11 surge protection will reduce ADSL speed?
