APC has announced parallel capability for its Smart-UPS VT three-phase power protection line. The new functionality provides customers with greater flexibility for capacity growth and redundancy, making the Smart-UPS VT ideal for small data centers, large retail stores, regional offices, wiring closets, and applications with dense power requirements.
The [Smart-UPS VT|http://www.apc.com/products/family/index.cfm?id=250] line of products offers centralized uninterruptible power protection using patented cool running three-stage inverter technology. Customers can easily expand their power protection system by connecting up to four Smart-UPS VT units in a parallel configuration in any combination of capacity and redundancy.
"Adding parallel capability to our Smart-UPS VT product combines the benefits of flexibility and efficiency as well as helps guard against the possibility of outgrowing an existing UPS (uninterruptible power supply)," Isabelle Guillaume, APC's vice president of Three-Phase Power Offer Management, said in a statement. "The Smart-UPS VT is the easiest UPS in its class to deploy, manage and maintain."
