This was an initial test for a live MPV-7A Controller using the VAV block
Everyone feel free to manually perform the steps below as it was a good way to get
familiar with the block in the wiresheet versus EBO.
Initial steps:
1) Bring in the Vav object into the config folder of a MPV-7A/9A
2) Download All Objects to verify successful so far
3) Manually set the "Should Poll" value for everything to True
4) OutofService for all blocks should already be set at false
5) Issue: Velocity Pressure and Fan Command may still show "Out
of Service" as being true. Need to change them to False
6) Download All Objects again to verify successful sequence of steps so far
Damper Command block:
1) Choose Damper Recalibrate and let it complete (6 min or so)
Flow Balance Data block:
1) Set Rated Boxflow to 1000
Velocity Pressure block:
1) Issue: Block still showed "Out of Service" after initial
Download All in the initial steps section.
2) Set "Out of Service" to false if you haven't done so already
3) Issue: Present Value is hidden, but can make visible again
by activating the pin slot
4) You can't override present value, but can use value offset to perform tests.
Request: Would it be possible to be able to override this value? I'm having
a consistent general problem where i would like to override inputs of any kind.
5) Adjust the Value Offset to 1.25 which should indirectly make the
Present Value 1.25
6) Issue: An "Upload all" done at any time brings in proprietary 1840
object and causes future downloads to fail. If new proprietary
object gets manually deleted from slot sheet, downloads go ok after
that.
BoxFlow block:
1) Value should read 1121 due to velocity pressure change
2) Issue: Priority 16 is shown which will fight the internal
program of the VAV object if anything is attached.
FlowSetPoint block:
1) Choose values of 500 and 1500 to hear damper move. Any value is
up to you.
DamperCommand block:
1) Value should modulate between 0-100% if you adjust flow setpt or
velocity pressure values
2) Issue: Priority 16 is shown which will fight the internal
program of the VAV object if anything is attached. Perhaps
Priority 15 should be shown if outside logic needs to have
control or just remove it.
EffectiveReheatCmd block:
1) This object needs the Priority 16 available since this is the feedback
from the hot water valve for showing on the eCommissioning Tool.
DischargeAirTemp block:
1) This object needs the Priority 16 available since this is the feedback
from the duct temperature if available for showing on the eCommissioning
Tool.
Additional Notes:
1) If you try to delete all objects at once, you will get an error due to
the VAV object being the parent object. Delete this parent object and
everything else related to it will delete at the same time.
2) Request: Maybe some kind of dependency popup message would help people
to be aware of it so they don't delete something by mistake.
For instance, trying to delete the Discharge Air Temp block and not
realizing it's part of the parent VAV block.
3) If you do delete a block by mistake, discover the objects again and bring
in the missing ones.
4) Issue: If you delete the Fan Operation and Discharge Air Temp block, then
it's gone for good and doesn't show up in the Config discover anymore.
An Upload All Objects won't bring it back either.
5) Issue: The UI inputs and AO/DO outputs have the same issue as the other
controllers where the UI,AO,DO can have missing channels in the selections.
if there was a point using a particular channel before and got deleted. Due
to the UI's having only 3 choices, you might find that no choices will show up
as usable because they tend to be fully used up alot. Worse yet, if you have
an MPV-7A, you only have one AO. The selections will be gone no matter what.
An upload all blocks will update the choices again. Be aware though, if you
do perform an Upload All, then the Velocity Pressure issue will come into play
and you need to delete the proprietary slot in order for future download all
objects to work.
That's all i have for now on this first pass!
