I am running 4.7.110 and have a MPX V7 controller online under a Jace 8000 N4.7 Station. When I add ascript and try to compile I get "Script compiler Executable file not found in the specified path." error. My programmer Mitch does exactly the same thing from his 4.8 with no error. I am currently loading 4.8 to my test PC to try it also. Any idea what causes this?
Thanks,
Jim

One potential cause would be that the Script Compiler was not installed on the same machine as WorkBench. This can resolved by running "ScriptCompilerInstaller.exe" which is on the box folder.
Another option is that the paths specified in the directory paths for the MPX Script Compiler Options are incorrect. This is accessed from Tools -> Options -> M P X Script Compiler Options.
You should have something along the lines of this where your windows user name is behind the black box:

Will,
My problem was both! I fixed that and got it to work. Then a day later whe I ran Niagara WB and tried again it failed.
When I compile I get the following:
SE.ScriptCompiler V3.2.1.0
Processing...
Error:CodeFile does not exist:
Parameter name: C:\\Users\\Jim
End
Compiler File Path local:|file:/C:/Program Files (x86)/Schneider Electric EcoStruxure/Script Compiler/SE.ScriptCompiler.Shell.exe
Script Source Directory local:|file:/C:/Users/Jim The Destroyer/Niagara4.7/TAC/MPX_Script/Source
Compiled Script Directory local:|file:/C:/Users/Jim The Destroyer/Niagara4.7/TAC/MPX_Script/Compiled
All directories exist
I even created the User Jim and directories for it thinking it did not like a space in the user name. Funny thing is it worked when I set it that way.

You are correct that the spaces in the user name "Jim The Destroyer" caused spaces in the file path. That is why the error message stops right after "Jim".
To summarize you got it all working once you started using the "Jim" user account?
Thanks.

Yes and No. It fixed it for a while but when I shutdown and started back it stopped working. I think the blanks in the Win 10 user name was the issue so I created another user with no blanks. Unfortuntley it named it new.old without blamks afyer creation. After reinstalling the N4 and editor I was able to compile but when I send to controller I get an error message like it did not work....but after a few tries I go back to the original user and and check it did work. IDKW. This is my office desktop that I am remoting into and it is seldom used. I think I just need to use my laptop that doesn't have these issues. Thanks for the help though. It did solve the first problem.

Next time you get that error message when trying to download to the controller take a screenshot and add it here. We want to catch all potential issues in Beta testing before someone is out on a bucket in a mechanical room and under pressure to get some equipment working.
