Lonnie Caroon and I get this error when trying to copy a BACnet Buffer Ready Alarm that is bound to a MPC BACnet Trend. I highlight both objects, copy, and the error pops up when I try to paste it. I do not get the error when I do an export and import of just those two objects. It does not matter if I select the Trend and then the Alarm or the Alarm and then the Trend. The monitored variable in the alarm is setup as a system reference not a BACnet reference.
The AS-P is running 2.0.20007.2. We are using WorkStation 2.0.20007.2. The MPC is running firmware 9003777
This appears to be a bug where it is trying to validate the binding in the new Alarm Object before the new trend object has been generated. Any idea why this is happening?

We have discovered that it only happens when copping into a live MPX. This error does not show up when pasting into an offline MPX.
A few questions, James, to help me recreate what you are seeing.
1. Is the trend also bound to an extended trend?
2. Where are you pasting to?
In testing with the next Beta candidates, I could copy and paste the pair of objects (bound to each other) within the same application folder. If I try to copy the pair to a new controller, I do get a variety of errors, but not the one you describe.
1. The trend is not bound to an extended trend. The only bind is between the BACnet Trend and the BACnet Buffer Ready Notification Alarm object.
2. I get the error when copying from the application folder of one online MPC to the application folder of another online MPC. It does not happen when I copy into an offline MPC.
I am not sure what timezone you are in but we can setup a Skype session where I can show you what I am seeing.
Yes, I am still having this issue. I get a slightly different error message now, that indicates the object already exists.
Object identifier already exists
