COV Trends Under MPC

I discovered that you cannot create COV trends under an MPC, when I highlighted a bunch of Binary points and selected new Trend.  Both the create and next buttons were grayed out.  It was not until I tried to place them in a different folder under the MPC that I saw the message "Selected Folder cannot contain objects of type 'COV Trend Log'."

I was able to manually create a create a BACnet Trend object and manually link it to the Binary point, but could not configure it for COV.

The really confusing part is that from the Right Click new Trend menu, none of the three trend types listed are supported under an MPC (COV, Interval, nor Variable Triggered).  BACnet Trend was not listed as an option.

In the final release will COV and Interval Trends be supported under an MPC?

The real confusing part is a known issue, where you can manually create Trends under the MPC, but when selecting the object to be trended and add trend option it attempts to create a SBO trend not a BACnet trend, so fails.

Not quite sure what your concern is with CoV, my experience is that all Logs created under the MPC are CoV not time interval.

If no time logging interval is set, the trend log will default to CoV.

I will have to give these suggestions a try.  This is my first time using BACnet alarms, as we always use SBO alarms with MNBs and MNLs.
