I have been using a AS-P for my desk test bench, but now that we are getting close to installation of the Beta site, I need to use a AS-B. I have plugged my laptop into the AS-B and using device manager, I go to install a new database. The Device administrator shows that it connects to the AS-B and that the current DB is v126.96.36.199. I click update AS and select new database. After about 30 minutes, it fails. I try again, and again, and again. I then put the AS-B into the DFU mode and tried again, still fails. I have attached the error log from the DA.
I had a similar struggle until I used the DA via USB. If you have already tried that, with the same results, I will downgrade back to 188.8.131.52 and go through the process again to see if I can reproduce your issue. Are you using 2.0.20007.2?
Yes, I have confirmed that I am using v2.0.20007.2, and yes, I have tried using the USB cable pulled in directly from the laptop to the AS-B.
As you can see by the screenshots, it still fails.
I have just successfully upgraded an AS-B-36 running build 184.108.40.206 to the 2.0.0 preview build (which will be made available to the beta program very shortly) over the normal Ethernet network configuration. So if you are not successful with the upgrade I suggest you hang on until the next beta release is made available, which will be any day now.
Please do NOT use the 220.127.116.111 preview release that will be made available on the wider community website today.
Thanks Allen. As I mentioned I'll downgrade my AS-B-24H back to 18.104.22.168 and then try to create a new 2.0.20007.2 DB.
One thing I'm seeing - I'm running Win7-Pro SP1. The USB connection took several times before the AS-B showed up in the DA.
I had some issues with USB connections again (device drivers) but after a reboot of my PC I was able to downgrade my AS-B to 22.214.171.124. Then I was able to run the 2.0.20007.2 Device Administrator and create a New database.
Allen - I'll contact you about possibly trading AS-B's so you can get up and running.
