What are the main causes of electrical fires, and what should we consider to prevent them?

Answer:

Over-current, over-voltages, overheating of electrical appliances, but also environmental factors, such as heat and humidity.

Additionally, damage can occur during use or as a result of corrosive chemical reactions.

To prevent Electrical Fire prevention there are three areas to consider while specifying projects:

  • LV main, secondary and control switchboards
  • Power and distribution circuits
  • Final distribution boards and circuits

Question for you:

Do you consider the fire risks while you specify a project? If yes how do you do so?
