With Windows 10 E-configurator doesn't launch
it creates a event in in the windows event log CLR20r3
googling indicates some sort of .Net dependency error but reinstalling .net doesn't appear to have fixed it
Attached is the full error report.
I had a similar problem that e-configurator wouldn't launch if you had at any point installed a Sierra wireless 4G card but this appears to be a different issue.
What versions of the .NET Framework do you currently have installed?
It looks like it's using mscorlib 184.108.40.206, which I think is from .NET Framework v2->3.5
I believe in .NET Framework 4 it was reversioned to be mscorlib 220.127.116.11... and I would have almost thought that a recent version of E Configurator would use a more recent version of .NET Framework (i.e. v4+)
For issues like this, where a crash occurs, you should raise a case with your local Tech Support also. It's important that it gets logged in the Schneider system. This community forum doesn't have that happen.. we're mostly end users / system integrators here.
Has this machine had other versions of E Configurator working on it?
It got raised with SE support and the follow advice was given
Check Prerequisite Microsoft Installers for additional information.
· Microsoft .NET Framework 4.5.1 offline installer
· Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 Isolated Shell
· Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable Package (vcredist_x86.exe)
· KB VS12-KB3107629.exe
Reinstall .NET Framework 2.0
The final advice was run it in a VM which we did get to work.
Just hoping someone else had a solution which wasn't reinstall windows 10.
