[Imported] Modbus Master with Remote Connect v3.5.2.433

Previously with E configurator and using a Modbus TCP device type, it was possible to read a Modbus Register as a UINT from a Slave and assign this to DNP3 Binary inputs within the SCADAPack RTU directly at the Point Scanner level.

This feature appears to be missing on Remote Connect. Has anyone been able to do this with Remote Connect?

Negative.
My correspondence with Schneider is that this is not the way Telepace worked, and hence is not currently how RemoteConnect will work. The 'experts' don't deem this to be a critical function, so whilst there is an enhancement request logged for it, it's unlikely to get any traction in the short term.

I would recommend you raising an issue for this with your appropriate Schneider Tech Support contact.
While you're at it you could raise the issue that when operating in Modbus Master mode, it's currently still required for a Modbus Slave address to be assigned to the port, which then makes this unavailable for use by an actual Modbus Slave device.

Thanks Bevan. That was such an important feature. Cant believe it has been side lined!

There is of course the possibility of working around this by mapping the UINT into Logic and then splitting it into Binary points. Definitely not as easy to do as in E series world, but possible.

Please do raise it as an issue with Tech Support though. If people don't complain about these things then Schneider don't prioritise them.
