[ Question from LIVE talk by Bhavuk Sharmaout ]
"How do you see Smart Grid evolving and what is the impact for Panel Builders?"

Dear Bhavuk,
Regarding the first part of your question, in the coming years Smart Grid will surely involve more and more decentralized energy resources and then Microgrids will be fully part of the equation.
As first approach and to go deeper, you can have a look at this blog article:
"How to Power Up Your Building With Renewable Energy Technologies"
or our white paper:
"Business Models and Value Chains"
I also advise you to visit our microgrid dedicated website and look at the video below:
Finally, you can also check out our report :
Or even listen to microgrid experts: 👇
Regarding the impact of this change for Panel Builders,
maybe @Peter_Hall and @RHH-Eltechna could provide you their insights….. 😉

The biggest changes and/or differences we are facing today regarding this topic are the changes in the amount and type of panels we make.
We face more demand for circuit breakers to deliver voltage and receive current from Solar Panels.
Next to the circuit breakers we deliver more special panels designed for parking garages to deliver current for EV stations, these stations mainly require more of the use of special earth fault protection (DC current).
Now we come to the more ''smart and digital'' side of things. Cause of the demand in solar panels and the use of power supply with it, the clients want to measure these in a way that is future proof. With bigger installations this means masterpacts with integrated measurements will be used more and more, able to scan QR codes and measure/control in a second or from a distance. Making it easy to read the spec's and allows the client to steer in or get preventive and regular maintenance automatically.
Panel builders would need to educate and inform their engineers and programmers to jump on this shifting/moving train.
