Join us for a 3-day virtual event for engineers, EITs, designers and more. Attend each day to learn about essential electrical distribution equipment along with ahands-on LIVE demo.
Explore panelboards, SWBDs, SWGR, MCCs, microgrid controllers, circuit breakers, metering, protective relays, and advanced digital applications.
Day 1 - December 8 | 2.0 PDH Credits
This day will focus on an introduction to the less complex distribution equipment for the industrial world. We will begin with an overview of Power Panelboards and smart circuit breakers and then progress to the more advanced Motor Control Centers (MCCs). We will also provide a more technical look into these products with a live demo from our Innovation Lab in Smyrna, TN. After this session, attendees will be able to:
Explain the significance of intelligent circuit breakers vs thermal mag circuit breakers
Define a panelboard on UL/NEMA standards, and when to use Power panelboards, vs lighting panelboards.
Define a switchboard based on UL standards
List advantages of Motor Control Centers versus distributed control
Day 2 - December 9 | 2.0 PDH Credits
This day will build off of the information from Day 1. We will begin with a focus on the more complex Switchgear and Energy Control Centers and then finish with Medium Voltage switchgear. Part of today’s discussions will encompass the latest in intelligent power circuit breakers and medium voltage safety relays. We will also provide a more technical look into these products with a live demo from our Innovation Lab in Smyrna, TN. After this session, attendees will be able to:
Determine when to use switchgear vs a switchboard and define the difference.
Explain the advantages of using a digitally enhanced power circuit breaker
Deliver resiliency, sustainability and energy savings with microgrids powered by an Energy Control Center (ECC)
Understand the values of 2SIS designed medium voltage switchgear and the advantages of continuous thermal monitoring.
Day 3 - December 10 | 2.0 PDH Credits
The last day will concentrate on the overall values of a digitized system and some of the advantages and key points of the many software platforms available. We will also provide a more technical look into these products with a live demo from our Innovation Lab in Smyrna, TN. After this session, attendees will be able to:
Describe how to design using digital applications
Describe four critical power applications that can derive value from digitization & software, along with the pain points addressed.
Distribution Monitoring & Alarming
Power Event Analysis (including power quality)
Energy Cost Allocation & Benchmarking
Continuous Thermal Monitoring
Explain how Facility Expert is digitizing electrical distribution
Hi @JeffMMiller! These Innovation Talk webinars are really a great opportunity for SE costumers to learn and to see how it works SE equipment's. As an employee of SE, which is responsible for Specifier category of costumers I can say it is also a valuable training for me. I was very impressed by the webinar I attended yesterday. Even if there is a time zone difference for Romania (7 hours), I am glad that I managed to attend to this series of webinars. Can these PDH credits also be received by Schneider Electric employees who attended the course? Or maybe it is possible to add it as training hours on the My LearningLink profile? Thank you.
