We are synchronizing more than 6 ION 8650C by NTP (the same GPS) and each meter have different timestamp.
There is a deadband between the timestamp of the meter and GPS before a "sync command"?
Thanks in advance!
My understanding is that the time will not sync if the meter clock does not differ by more than +/-1s, this could lead to a discrepancy.
From the Time Synchronization & Timekeeping document (https://download.schneider-electric.com/files?p_enDocType=User+guide&p_File_Id=791764982&p_File_Name... )
Use an NTP server for systems where time synchronization is not critical. NTP can synchronize a meterʹs clock to within +/‐ 1 sec (worst case) of other meters in an Ethernet network.
