We noticed that the serial numbers returned for the PM3255 and PM5560 from IONSetup and the Modbus register 130 is not correct. Not all digits are returned.
We currently have a remote site that we need to get some calibration certificates but we did not note all the serial numbers so tried to get them remotely so PS can give us the certificates. Unfortunately the serial numbers retrieved from IONsetup is not correct so they can't assist us.
Has anyone else seen this?
The SN# that I see via ION Setup seems to match the one I can view on the webpage for my PM5560.
If the Modbus register isn't correct, then ION Setup would likely be an issue as well so you could try and view it via the webpage to see if this is a firmware issue or not.
We went to site and noted that for:
The PM5560 serial number on the meter itself matches the serial number from ION setup as well as Modbus register 130.
The PM3255 has 2 digits in front of the serial number returned. All the meters had 14 in front of the serial number.
When we sent this info back to PS they sent us all the certificates. Oddly the serial numbers noted on the certificates excludes the first 2 digits and has the exact same serial numbers as the register and ION setup so not too sure why they couldn't pick it up on the system.
So for the PM5560 the serial number is correct in IONSetup and the register. Not sure why PS told us all the serial numbers were wrong. For the PM3255 the serial numbers on IONsetup and the register list do not match exactly with the serial number on the meter as the first 2 digits are ignored.
