We try to connect the ION meter to SCADA/HMI (ION8800/ION8650) using IEC 61850.
The SCADA use the CID file from meter as reference urcbMMXU01 to urcbMMXU04 but the meter send them with 01 at end. We try to configure the OptFields seqNum to false but when the CID file was upload back to meter we got Invalid CID file.
CID file
<ReportControl bufTime="1000" buffered="false" confRev="1" datSet="MMXU" desc="Unbuffered Measurements Report" indexed="false" intgPd="0" name="urcbMMXU01" rptID="urcbMMXU1">
<Private type="SchneiderElectric-SFT-IsPredefined"/>
<TrgOps dchg="true" dupd="false" period="true" qchg="true"/>
<OptFields configRef="true" dataRef="false" dataSet="true" reasonCode="true" seqNum="true" timeStamp="true"/>
</ReportControl>
Screen shot from scanner the 01 was added monitor from Wireshark also show that the meter add 01. Please advice how the 01 would be eliminated.
Hello Yut,
I did a bit of investigation and can confirm that the 01 at the end of the name is due to feature described by the IEC 61850 standard, called indexing*. This can be a little misleading as the meter only supports a single subscription to each report but supports 4 "copies" of the report, each with a different name.

communication structure – Abstract communication service interface(ACSI), 2010.

Hi Yut,
Can you share which firmware version you are using?

for the ION8800 V370
ION8650 004.031.001
The index option in the CET850 was unchecked.
We will do further experiment on both side.
OK I got it. The RptEna is False. So I have to study CET850 how to set it to True.
RptEna is true when IEC 61850 client has successfully subscribed to the report on the meter. It is not a variable that can be "set" from outside the meter.

Any suggestion to let the customer be able to get report with their SCADA/HMI ?
Have the SCADA/HMI use indexing as defined in the standard?!?
I am guessing the name difference is why the client is not getting data from the meter.
Regards,
Charles
