I need to communicate ION 7550 with SEEFOX SCADA via ModBus Protocol.
Along with other data, per phase Voltage THD, Current THD and K-Factors are also required.
I got a ModBus register list, but it contains the maximum THD values of per phase voltage and current.
How can I read the real time parameters?
This will involve programming ION Modules in the 7550. This is done either with the Designer app in SPM/PME or with ION Setup.
You would create new ION Modbus Slave modules, configure the module(s) as to data type, Modbus base register value for the Module, etc and link the data you want to expose to them as inputs to the module(s). The 7550 supports up to 20 Slave Modules and the default framework uses 5 so these is lots of capability available.
I have attached a document that shows how to use ION Setup to program ION Modules. While the example is completely different as to the functions done I think it will give you an idea on how to proceed.
I met this problem before and I composed a Guideline for this.
I have used ION7550 RTU. In case you use TCPIP port, you can modify Step 3b with un-check Gateway option, and enter IP of ION Meter
