All, I'm urgently trying to determine how/why I the 400Hz nominal frequency cannot be selected in the PM8000. We've tried through the HMI, webpage, ION Setup and Designer. In Designer, the 400Hz is greyed out, which suggests it's available, but not available right now. The PM820 has the 400Hz option available, and it can be simply done through the HMI if required; the PM8000, being a higher end meter, needs to have this issue worked out, or else the operating range needs to be changed in the documentation to show it's only able to work in 50/60Hz environments. I need to rectify this today if possible.

The PM8000 will measure at 400Hz but you cannot select it through the menu. If you set the meter at either 50Hz or 60Hz, the meter will detect the 400Hz and report accordingly.
The following values will be measured correctly: Vln, Vll, kW, kVAR, kVA, PF, Freq
However, the all PQ measurements will be incorrect due to the Harmonics being sampled at 50/60Hz. This restriction is partly hardware based.

Unfortunately as the PM8000 is not sold as an entry level meter, the PQ measurements need to be accurate and available when on a 400/60/50Hz system. Also, the displacement power factor will be adversely affected as it's based on the fundamental frequency, so PF is not truly available, unless you're referring to only the TPF.
Do you have an ETA when this will be rectified? Or if the meter will not be 400Hz compliant, then the marketing and tech material should be changed (as discussed with a while back) to reflect the discrepancy to reduce negative customer feedback and experience.
