WorkPlace Tech Tool menu functions and toolbar icons do not respond when selected

Issue

WorkPlace Tech Tool menu functions and toolbar icons do not respond when selected even though they are visible (not grayed out) after changes are made to the Visio Menus or Toolbars.

Product Line

TAC IA Series

Environment

I/A Series WorkPlace Tech Tool software

Cause

Some COM add-ins are not compatible with the WorkPlace Tech Tool software.

Resolution

From the Visio menu, within WorkPlace Tech, select Tools / Customize then select the Toolbars tab. Select each checked toolbar in turn, clicking the reset button for each one. Next select the Options tab and click the "Reset menu & toolbar usage data" button.

If this does not correct the issue, disable the COM add-ins and delete the Visio directory cache using the procedure listed below. The procedure depends on the version of Visio and the version of Windows being used.
