Product Line

Satchwell Sigma

Environment

  • SigmaX 7.0.6 on Windows 7 32-bit
  • SigmaX 7.09 on Windows 10 64bit
  • SigView

Cause

Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 redistributable has not been installed. It appears that SigmaX requires this version to run.

Resolution

Either the Microsoft C++ 2005 is not installed, or if it is, then the Service Pack 1 (SP1) is required to be installed.

This can be checked under the Windows 'Apps and Features'.

Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86).

In some cases, Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 Redistributable Package Security Update is required to resolve the issue. This should be installed if installing Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 SP1 does not fix the problem.
