Don't know if the question is put in the right section, but I'll give it a try.
I'm using EcoStruxure Operator Terminal Expert (v 3.1, SP 1B) and I'm trying to change the color of a pump (predefined image) when a button is clicked, but I don't see any possibility in pump's property menu . I have managed to change the color of a rectangle (shape) helped by this example.
My question is how could I change pump's color?
Many thanks in advance!
Hi @jhonut ,
I am not sure but i think you need to modify the transparency of the object and enable the shadow and link a variable to the color.
Like the next video example:
I hope this helps you.
Thanks for your reply, @LeTomas !
I thought there's another way to do it. I tried to do it, following your example, with a bool variable but the shadow color isn't changing. I must use converters in order to change the shadow's color?
Hi @jhonut ,
Probably my example is one way to do it. I just gave my idea 🙂
Please find below the link for an example using converters with boolean variables but you can also do it with an int variable like my previous example video.
Ok. Thank you for the provided solution. In my opinion, normally it should color the entire pump, not only the shadow. I don't remember if this was possible in Vijeo Designer.
Alternativ to this solution you have the possiblity to draw the pump completly in ESOTE.
In this case you have the full flexiblity regarding to the colors.
You can see what I mean in the follow Video. At the end is a sample for a booster pumping application.

You can find the sample project here
You can reuse the Objects via copy and past
All Objects form the video I shared are drawn completly in ESOTE.
If you activate the grid in ESOTE you can realy good draw object.
You have also the possibility to combine image files with additional drawings.
To do this you can use the grouping function which I used also.
