Hi, i am new to whole schneider electronics products.
I need help regarding the connection between IFM and PLC's.
I have Masterpact MTZ1-10 H1 and i have it successfully connected to lv434000 modbus.
I now need wiring diagrams or something to connect it to a unitronics plc.
So the modbus uses rj45 and i think it outputs it's thing trough rs485.
How do I make it working on the plc which has rj12 ports (6 pin connector) while using the rj10 (4 pin connector) ??
You can find the PINOut on the IFM Here.
I don't know how it's made in your PLC, but they should have a similar diagram
and use this Modbus-open end:
Thank you for your reply, but i have found a solution that doesn't need additional cables, you just need 2 cables and a electric tape.
ethernet cable so 8pins rj45 and a telephone cable with a 4pin connector rj10.
First 2 wires from the ethernet connector are paired to a red wire on a telephone connector,
wires 3,4 are paired to yellow wire on the telephone connector
wires 5,6 are paired to the green one and the last pair of wires from the ethernet connector are paired to the black one.
But you'll need the exact pinout for the telephone cable.
Black, Red, Green, Yellow
And in the end to make it work you take the red and yellow wires and tape them togather and the other ones by themselves.
Sorry if that's confusing i can upload a picture if anyone would need this kinda "solution".
It's crappy design, but it works.
