Dear community members,
I would like to share with you this white paper: Liquid Cooling Technologies for Data Centers and Edge Applications. Below is a brief summary:
Increasing IT chip densities, a focus on energy efficiency, and new IT use cases like harsh edge computing environments are driving the interest and adoption of liquid cooling. In this paper we present the fundamentals of liquid cooling, describe the advantages over conventional air cooling, and explain the 5 main direct to chip and immersive methods. To help guide the selection of the appropriate liquid cooling method for a given need, we explain the key attributes that must be considered.

Dear Yanling CHEN,
I am working at SK Lubricants which is base oil and lubricants manufacturer in Korea. SK Lubricants is one of major Group III base oil suppliers in the world.
Recentlly our researchers are studying dielctric fluids which are suitable for oil immersion cooling systemm. Even the fluids are from petroleum refinery but their flash point are very high due to specialized distillation process. Some of these fire point is above 300 degree C and it could be classifed into K category of IEC 61039.
I fully understand that oil is a small part of liquid cooling system and developing and design thermal management is much more important subject
Meanwhile, it will be very pleasure that we can particpate the project developing oil immersion cooling data center. Principally cooling systems in between data center and electric vehicle battery are similar, I think. We hope develop oil immersion cooling system for electric vehicle's lithium ion batteries finally.
Best regards,
Jungsik Chun
