I have been trying for the last 2 days to download Powerchute Personal Edition (188.8.131.52, if that makes any difference) from 4 different computers in different locations, 2 with Windows 7 & IE 9, 1 with Vista & IE 9 and 1 with XP & IE 8 but have not been able to do so.
Each time I come to the final download page / button and when I click on it a blue "veil" appears over the screen and prevents me from accessing the button. I have been registered with APC for many years and (although supposedly you are no longer required to) I have logged-in numerous times before I tried; I have also tried not logging-in and the results are the same.
I have reloaded the page numerous times and tried it with "compatibility mode" as well as IE in the "no add-ons" mode but nothing works.
This is just plain crazy, since I have downloaded PPE dozens of times over the years.
Has anybody else had this problem and better still, do you know how to fix it?
I can download anything else from any other Website with no problem whatsoever, so this is just plain weird.

So its not just me then. Whats the reason for this sillyness? I'll stop bothering to try and D/L the software.

Thanks! The link did indeed work, but that still does not address the important question about why the public download site is still so badly broken.
Few, if any people would probably know (or want to) come to this Forum to search for (and hopefully find) the answer to this very bizarre problem. At the very least this link (presumably to your FTP Server) should be posted here publicly, and probably elsewhere as well, for all the poor souls who have been trying in vain to download this important application.
Your Website has worked just fine over the years and it's not good that it has suddenly and for no apparent reason started blocking legitimate requests to download the Powerchute software.
Please advise prominently on this Forum when your Website is fully functional once more.
And thanks again for the "quick fix" in the meantime. It was and is appreciated.

I have had the exact same problem trying to download Powerchute for the past two days as well. I've tried it without signing in and after signing in to my account and the result is the same...click download, screen turns light blue, nothing happens.

By some miracle I have just finally been able to download the latest edition of PowerChute Personal Edition 3.0.2 which apparently only came out a week or two ago. The download went off without a hitch, although I was required to login to my account first, for some reason.
Since it's such a low-end piece of software I don't know why you should be required to do that, or even go to the trouble of establishing an account, as far as that goes.
Anyway, no matter, because it appears to be fixed, at least for now, so head back on over there and get that new edition while the Website is still up & running!.
One last thing: It would have been nice if one of the Mods (or resident Experts) had posted here that the problem had been fixed, rather then one of us having to discover it randomly. It would have been a thoughtful little bit of Customer Service for their loyal customers, I would think...

Hi, same problem with the broken download link! Only that I have been trying for several weeks now, even seeing the version number progress from 3.0.1 to 3.0.2, but download link never works, even after logging into APC site. Very frustrating. And very unprofessional.
Could you please also send me a direct download link?

we are not aware of a widespread issue as far as i know or we'd just fix it. can you tell me what OS and browser versions you are using so i could ask someone to investigate? can you give any further info of the specific error or issue you see?

Apparently the website is just deceptively, stupidly named. You CAN register for a "Personal Page" and download the software, but it's under the business section.
I'm glad I'm not the only person who was confused by the fact that we had to have some sort of "Partner Login."
I wonder what completely dumb person decided that was a good thing to call it.

I have the same problem. Windows 7.
The link works correctly to download the Installer (PCPEInstaller.exe).
The Installer will not run. It hangs at the Destination window. I have tried different days and times, thinking that your server may have been overloaded, but it always hangs at that window.

Is the failure happening when the installer is being run please review Schneider Electric FAQ FA235203.
