It would be convenient in some cases to perform a kind of historical playback directly on the SCADA screens. We know WSP does that but in GeoSCADA, this is not possible natively.
It technically is possible 'natively' I think... I'm just not sure that I'd recommend it.
So for every item on your mimic, you could use an Indirect Tag Expression which results in a Historic Calculation Tag.
i.e. you could have something like
[".Analog Point 1.FullName"+';End Last;NOW-'+REGISTRY('HistoricOffset', '0S')+';0S']
And then if you have HistoricOffset set to like 13D it will show the data from 13 days ago... I think... I haven't really tested this, and it sounds a little painful to do (and performance would be 'bad').
@BevanWeiss , Thanks! It could be as a workaround in some cases.
My suggestion is to implement playback as enhancement in future GeoSCADA releases. It might be a useful feature considering the existed interest from some customers
This is possible using indirect expressions (to call historic methods) and registry values (to set the time offset), but there may simpler methods to consider in future.
