Add the ability to customise icons within the Geospatial maps to use SVGs, and have customised foreground/background colours

The geospatial maps are good, but they could be much better.

One such request would be if the icons could be customised so that they aren't just picked from a list of triangle, square, diamond.. and then a circle..

It should be possible to specify any Unicode character, OR an SVG icon to be provided, and this should be possible to animate (as an index into a map icon table object perhaps) via the map query (i.e. so that if a pump is running we can use a certain icon vs if it's not).

Seconded.  An extension of this is to simply plot out values on the map as well, such as critical pressures or flow rates. 

Regarding the reflected icons on a map, I feel this should be a property that is on the object the query returns rather than which query in the map set you issued. Ex: There's a list property dropdown that dictates the shape, or possibly a way to map type to shape.  We'd issue meter stations a square, compressors a triangle, etc...   This would allow a single query to roll-up the data and show multiple icon types in a single result set.

@tfranklin I think you might already know this, but you can at least display pressures / flows as tooltips on the map.  But it does require for the user to hover over the symbol to have it display.

I suspect that you would also like to have such a small label permanently displayed, and I think that would be great also.  Even in addition to the SVG symbols.  Since often it would be nice to have a little label (i.e. SPS375) for additional context before the user hovers over it.  And likewise having that be something like "SPS375(newline)48%" would be useful.  If you wanted to add another suggestion for the static label type of idea then I'd gladly give it an upvote 🙂
