Hi, the alarming functionality in Geo SCADA is quite good and very feature rich. We have some customers who are going down the path of implementing ISA 18.2 for Alarm Management and the features and wording inside Geo SCADA has don't line up directly. Specifically it is difficult to report on numbers of alarms, alarm floods, stale alarms and the like without developing a lot of queries. If this functionality was added in as an extension of the existing alarm management tools that would be swell.
Could take the form of some added OPC tags on all objects that indicate the current alarm rate (per hour?), number of stale alarms (older than 1 day? Maybe time span is configurable in system config?), etc.
See relevant ISA 18.2 standards for more information. I think the current functionality is close but its missing just enough that it is making implementing 18.2 difficult and inefficient.
