This is a re-posting from the obsoleted (October 2018) "Schneider Electric Telemetry & SCADA" forum.

**_We use the database optimisation tool that is in-built into ClearSCADA. So we use it driven froma periodic script, specifying a start and end date. For now, we run it daily, to look back for the last 2 days. This does resolve or delete many duplicates, out of time order entries; we find the tool VERY useful. I realise I could run it manually when I want, using whatever time period I desire. But a couple of improvements could be made, I suggest:_**
**_a) Run it from a command line perhaps, with some flags, in case I do not want it to action some issues it finds immediately:_**
**_b) Add some flags, say:_**
**_i) -i - information mode: to just list what it is going to change, detailed for each record_**
**_ii) -s - summary mode: a high level summary (number of records deleted or resorted, and why etc.)_**
**_iii) -o - to send the output to a file rather than the command line_**
**_Just my 2c worth._**
**_cheers, Scott_**

JesseChamberlain:
Scott, you can run it from command line, have a look at SCXCMD HISINFO and HISSTRIP. Reference here.
