This is a re-posting from the obsoleted (October 2018) "Schneider Electric Telemetry & SCADA" forum.

Is there any way to create a .exe file or a external runtime in ClearSCADA or is it a requirement to log in into viewx anytime I want to run my application?_**

Hi,
Are you thinking along the same line as say CitectSCADA works where each client needs a copy of the database? ClearSCADA works very differently, the database is only held centrally on the servers and clients such as ViewX are just a viewer to the servers, so there is no need to distribute the configuration when you update it or add a new client. It is all automatically handled.
What are you wanting to do?

Hello, I have worked in different projects with Power SCADA Ecpert, and usually you have to compile your application before executing the runtime, i can tell ClearSCADA workd diferently though. What I was wondering was, if it was possible to create a executable version of my screens, similar to what PSE does._**

I do not think there is a way to 'compile' the graphics into a stand alone app. To access the graphics you need the ViewX client or the WebX client and a network connection to the server. Both of which are actually quite light in terms of installation hard drive space, complexity and resource usage.
You might need to describe more about why you want 'compiled graphics'. Is there some limitation that makes the ViewX client unappealing?

'Power SCADA Expert' is based on CitectSCADA which works in a very different way to ClearSCADA.
With CitectSCADA when you make changes you then need to package the runtime environment somehow and redistribute to all the clients somehow which is where I think you're coming from.
To expand what I said above. In ClearSCADA everything is stored and retrieved from the server and the servers all sync config and data. This means that once you make a change to something, then any ViewX connected to that system should update withing a couple of seconds.
ClearSCADA does have a local mimic cache, but it does a version/CRC check when you load the mimic to work out if it needs to automatically download or not.
