Hello,
Can I import .sde file from ClearSCADA 2013 into Ecostruxure Geo SCADA Expert 2020?
Mimics won't really be a problem. If you've used the Pie Chart object, you may need to reconfigure a couple of animations depending on how you have used it.
The SCADAPack E-Series items I'd be a little more apprehensive about.
They will import in, but you may end up with Configuration Errors that you didn't have before.
There have been quite a few new validation checks added over that period 2013->2020
You should do the import on an offline database first, after having done an audit on the errors present in the 2013 DB, so that you can compare it to the 2020 DB.
On paper you should be able to do this with no problem, but given the jump in major versions (~7 years) there may be some oddities depending so test it first if you can.
What objects are within the .SDE?
If you can tell us that, then we could possibly provide some ideas of things to watch out for. But there are a lot of possible objects.. so just providing all possible cautions would be a bit onerous for us.
Hello,
I would like to now if I can import SCADA project files .sde, such as mimics, confuguration files of SCADAPack E series (analogue and digital points), library generated with ClearSCADA 2013 into Eco Struxure geo SCADA Expert 2020?
