Hello,
In an electrical network calculation, Ecodial is proposing the ‘conductor sizes of the cable’ not more than 300 mm2 and is there any specific reasons to do that? Can you please provide some comments on this.

Hello,
Thanks for your interest on this subject “conductor sizing of the cables.”
In Ecodial, the “conductor sizing algorithm for cable” is done in accordance with the IEC 60364-5-52 standard.
While the application is entirely following the “the current carrying capacity tables” from the IEC 60364-5-52 for various installation methods, and these tables are mostly limited to have the current carrying capacities defined only up to 300 mm2.
Current Carrying Capacities for Various Conductor Sizes
So, the application is also having this limitation in sizing of conductors only up to 300 mm2 cross sectional area; On the other hands the application is already capable to size the conductors up to 630 mm2 cross sectional area - as per the respective tables for the installation references F and G.
