problem adding netbotz 250 in Ecostruxure IT

Hello team,

we have a customer that is trying to add his netbotz 250 in the ecostruxure IT, we could put the IP address to the netbotz and see it by web browser, the netbotz do correct ping too, but when we try to add the ip to the ecostruxure it the software doesnt recognice the netbotz.

We checked with the customer the followings items:

• Connect the netbozt directly to the PC's network card .. both on the same IP address and mask

• The internet output of that pc was made by wifi.

• ... the localhost detects connectivity ... and ping the netbotz responds ... but Ecostruxure does not detect it

• they have no policies ... nor hardware in between ...

• And I have disabled the firewall of w10.

they have windows 10.

i attached a video showing the problem.

could you help us with this?

thanks in advance.

Hi @cristian ,

Please make sure you've verified the SNMP credentials on the 250 and that they match what's in the software. New NMC based products come with new firmware that disables SNMP by default. You must actually log into the device and enable the correct version of SNMP as well as adding the proper community names or passphrases.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi @cristian ,

I can't speak for IT advisor. For the 250 though, assuming you're using SNMP version 1. Enable it:

---------------------

Then enter the community names and limit IPs that can access it. I suggest leaving it open (all 0s) for testing. Go to access control:

Then configure or validate the community names:

They may be blank to start with so you'll have to know what's set up in the IT Advisor software. Again, I am not familiar with the settings in the software but your video shows a good place to start:

If you're still having issues after that, you may want to troubleshoot SNMP. The following k-base may be of some help:

Please note that although this does mention troubleshooting for DCE, the general troubleshooting principals are the same.
