Our client uses PME for energy management, but the data center admin group needs certain energy meter data points in DCE for alarming of Data Center related power issues.
Can anyone CONFIRM if this is even possible?
The problem is that some of the devices which are currently linked and monitored by PME cannot be "polled" by a second SCADA software (ie:DCE) due to networking/gateway issues. Therefore, the data MUST come from PME.
As a possible workaround, our research showed that we can make certain data points available as OPC DA data. Can DCE use this? Is there another way to do this?
There is a plethora of marketing collateral which presents the Struxureware ''suite'' as one big happy, compatible family.... Help needed to make this true
Thanks in advance and sorry for the sarcasm

There is no native option to pull PME data into DCE. The only way to get live data is for DCE to poll another system. This data can be in the form of either Modbus over IP or SNMP. It can communicate using HTTP as well but that is only for NetBotz devices specifically.
The only way for DCE to import OPC data would be by using some sort of OPC to Modbus gateway. DCE could then add that as a modbus device. This would also take up node licenses in DCE as each device being monitored uses a node license.
The other option is to have DCE monitor the device directly via SNMP or Modbus and DCE can output modbus data on up to 247 slave devices if the customer has the AP95MODBUS license key.

Modbus data output by DCE, That is interesting. Is there a full list of other hidden features where license keys are required?

Sorry, no. That's about it. We monitor SNMP, modbus, and NetBots based on node licenses. You can get surveillance licenses for NetBotz with cameras.
You can query DCE through the web API, check this site and the software downloads page for info. I can link them if you need... But the only output you can get with a license is Modbus. Sorry but no OPC, Bacnet, or other protocols.
