Hi Miguel,
Can you please elaborate? If your question is how can DCE have 2 IPs, it is because it has 2 NICS. one is meant for the public LAN and one for a private LAN (as if it were a router to a separate network). If you have a VM and don't see a second option, that may be because you didn't give the VM a second NIC. If there's something else, please provide more detail.
