Kerem,
Virtual devices will update once all of the sensor points that are within it update.
For Example:
PDU1 has a polling interval of 5 minutes.
PDU2 has a polling interval of 1 minute.
The virtual sensor will update when PDU1 and PDU2 both receive an update.
The virtual sensor will be updated shortly after the both of the individual sensors receive at least one update.
PDU1 - updated at 5:25:46
PDU2 - updated at: 5:21:35, 5:22:35, 5:23:34, 5:24:34, & 5:25:34
Virtual Sensor - updated at 5:25:49
The Virtual sensors Tab should automatically update within StruxureWare Data Center Expert to report the most recent value for the virtual sensor.
Regards,
Cory

Kerem, For the virtual device, you can right click on it within the "Virtual Sensors" pane and then select "Generate Sensor History Report..." Within the report you can view the table data to view the most recent entries for the virtual sensor. The option to view the table data is the icon that looks like a notepad in the upper right hand corner of the report. For PDUs, you can do the same thing as above, or right click on the PDU within the "Device View" pane under the Monitoring perspective and select "View Device Sensors..." Within the top of the View Device Sensors window is a last contact time. Regards, Cory

Kerem, With your configuration your virtual sensor will only update once every hour, when a new value for it is calculated. If you look at each individual sensor point, it may not be accurate to compare the values with the virtual sensor as some of them will update before the virtual sensor updates. The virtual sensor value will only update when all sensor points within it update once from the last time the virtual sensor updated. What is the polling interval set to for the sensor points? The polling interval goes by the appliance that the sensor point is part of and can be verified by the following: Device > SNMP Device Communication Settings > Device Scan Settings > Check the device > Edit Device Scan Settings. If the Scan Interval says default, hit cancel and then select Global Scan Settings in the left hand pane. Please generate and provide me with the .csv exports of the sensor history reports for the individual sensor points as well as the virtual device. You can save a sensor history report data as a .csv by using the folder icon with a green arrow on it within the top right hand corner of the view report data (notepad icon) screen from the report. You can remove the column that has the IP address from the .csv files by using a spreadsheet program. Regards, Cory

Kerem, What version of StruxureWare DCE are you using? Are you experiencing this problem with multiple virtual sensors, or only A13 Load? Have you tried recreating the virtual sensor? Regards, Cory

Kerem, Are all of your virtual sensors not calculating properly? Does re-creating one of the virtual sensors cause the calculation to perform properly? I would recommend reaching out to your local technical support team to see if they can look into what may be causing it, depending on the status of your software support. http://www.apc.com/site/support/index.cfm/contact-information/ Regards, Cory
