Integration of MS Excel with DCO is possible easily but what do we do when end clients have their own databases fields which we have to create as custom fields for Asset? Do we have any mechanism to add those Custom fields also to the DCO import template through Excel?

I believe you are referring to the Excel Import tool in Data Center Operations; if so then you can add any additional custom fields by inserting the column with the custom field desired name and appending the custom field name with 'CP' ('CP' stands for custom property). There are examples of this in the template available from DCO and here is a screenshot of the section I am referring to in the template (highlighted in green):
In the sample above, the two custom property fields are IP and Owner. Hope this helps

From where do i know how the excelfile has to look like? Is there a specific form for that or is there somewhere a template?

The only way to import to floor equipment to a specific space is to create a row, otherwise it imports the floor equipment generally into a room
