A customer is planning to install Server Access (ITO) and they have 2 OS approved:
Now ITO supports:
Do you have any experience installing ITO in W2008R2 or RedHat 6.0. If the customer install ITO in these OS, will us be support it?
Do you know if in 8.0 will be support these OS?
In other way what servers would be support to discover in 8.0 release?

Hello Jorge You are correct regarding the current list of supported OS's for ITO. We do plan to officially support ITO on Windows 2012 and 2012 R2 in the DCE/ITO 8.0 release. The DCE/ITO 8.0 release will also support newer Linux OS's. If your customer plans to discover windows hosts using WMI protocol, then you will need to deploy the ITO server on a windows host. If your customer only plans to use IPMI for server access based discoveries, then you can plan to install ITO on a windows or linux based server. Regards Greg Sterling
