a customer uses a patch panel and a cat6a cable with longest distance about 20m to the sensor.
By connecting to the netbotz 150 sometimes a A link overload is the result.
By connecting to Netbotz 450 nothing happens, by using a crossover cable the sensor is shown as "invalid sensor". By connecting the sensors direct with a connector is works without problems.
Is there any known issues with some Cat6 cables? Are there known problems with some patch pannels?
What could be the problem? Netbotz is on newest firmware.

Yes, we recommend Cat-5 cables and have seen issues with Cat-6. A cross-over cable will not work, it must be a straight through with a coupler. I don't know what your patch panel do (if they're cross-over or if they change anything) but I have heard nothing specific about it. I can only tell you that although it uses Cat-5 cables, it does not use the Ethernet protocol.

we try with normal cat 5 cable and coupler wich works. We cut the one site of the cat 5 cable and mount it to the patch panel. The sensor is not recognized anymore by the bot and by using a cross over cable between netbotz and panel panel the sensor is shown as Invalide senor.
What protocol is used? By the sensors?

There is no standard protocol between sensors and pods or units. It is simply based on voltages and resistance to determine sensor type.
For sensor pods, it is a proprietary protocol called A-link.
