Dears,
In a project the customer (has ITA 9.0.7) needs to push the log files to external server. is this applicable? How can we do that?
Note: the ITA now installed on centOS 7 and we will reinstall the ITA on redhat OS (customer request)
So is there is any difference on sending the log files steps?
Hello Mohamed
In general DCO/ITA customers are allowed to install tools on the DCO/ITA server if they want enhanced monitoring or logging. We for example have customers who install tools to monitor log file contents to report urgent issues to their NOC or support teams. So your customer is allowed to change CentOS or their RedHat OS to forward log information if they want to.
We do not provide specific instructions for completing this task as this is usually a capability built into the tools the customers are adding to the server for monitoring purposes, and there may be dozens of products which can do this each of which have their own process.
In regards to your last comment about moving to redhat. I want to make sure you and your customer are aware. Installation of ITA 9.0.7 on Redhat is currently only supported using the "online" ISO of ITA 9.0.7 so the customer must have an active RH subscription for that to work. The offline ITA 9.0.7 iso will not work.
ITA 9.1.0 does not support installation on Redhat. ITA 9.1.1 is expected to support Redhat installation. ITA 9.1.x will support RH 8.x only, not RH 7.x.
