Hi Team,
Kindly assist on how to monitor generator battery status using netbotz 570.
Can we utilize the 4-20mA sensor or the 0-5V sensor? if yes let me know what third part accessories I need also where to get them.
Regards

Dear Mashwiz,
Does your Generator have its built in communication interface which can provide the status of the battery? If so, what protocols does it support? Eg, dry contact output, SNMP etc.,
If your generator does not have any intelligence to report the battery status, then you may need to consider the third party Battery Monitoring System(BMS). I do not think that 4-20mA sensor or the 0-5V sensor can be used with generator battery directly. I let other community experts to confirm the same.
I have seen in the filed that the Customer use the third party battery monitoring system(BMS) depending upon the Generator battery specs and type which supports either dry contact output to read the battery status or SNMP protocol or Modbus Over TCP, and then they can be integrated with Netbotz via third party dry contact(NetBotz Dry Contact Cable (NBES0304)) or in DCE if the third party Battery Monitoring System supports SNMP protocol or Modbus Over TCP protocol to read the battery status sensor value.
I hope this helps.

Bala
