After update DCE to 7.4.2 (from 7.2.2 by stepping thru versions) all of the Eaton MX5000 UPSs have frequent loss of communication failures. What can be done?

Assuming this is an SNMP device, K-base FA226273 may be helpful in troubleshooting SNMP communications issues. It goes through most common issues and if you're getting intermittent communications, some of this document may not be relevant. Off hand I'm guessing timeouts and retries being increased would be you're first adjustment.
