I want to find out whether it is possible to create a new network port type in DCO.
The reason is that I want to able to create a port type that indicate it is either OM4, OM5 or OS2 fibre type for an MPO modules.

Good to hear form you. The patch panel / network card port types are fixed and as far as I know cannot be changed.
You can create your own cable types "Tools - Configure Network Cable Types" and use these types to create Genome entries. One of these cable Genomes can be selected during the creation of a connection.
I hope I'm telling you something new.
