HI Team,
we have a deploy in DCO 8.2.2 with LDAP remote authentication users working properly. We have created a local group with permissions and add to this group 9 remote users.
After a few minutes, less than one hour, the local group dissapears and all the users loss their rights because they do not belong to any group and they do not have defined specific rights for each user. For this purpose we created the group.
Is not possible to add remote users to a local group?
Regards

First time it dissapear after two days, second time it was less than hour.
Now we are works without group, with individual permissions.

I'm conducting training using DCO820 online demo, and similar situation is observed for local users, where user groups will disapear after a few minutes...
Jef Faridi, can you help to look into this?

Hi all,
I have tested this on my 8.2.2 (release) setup without any problem.
I can add remote users to a local group (in DCO) without any problem. However, I will do more tests.
Can you please provide a "how to reproduce" steps, then I will follow the same, thanks.
Kind regards

Add your local or remote user to a user group for access & rights
For my case:
1.All local users have no rights/access assigned
2.Local users were added to a User Group called "Admin Group", where it has rights & access.
3.When users are logging into DCO, about 30 minutes - 1 hour, everyone are kicked out from DCO, and when we check the DCO audit trail, it says users are removed from DCO "Admin Group" User Group.
When we logged in to DCO web client, user group was removed.
No one logged in & change anything on User Group when this happened.

We just create a group and add users to it. It works fine for some time and eventually gone. Users receive message about changing their rights and thats all.

Many thanks for the info Chris
Valentin (Valentin Kozlov), would it be possible to ask for a copy of the backup file + a small reproduce to capture screen shoots illustrating user group and its added users, etc. (I will send you an invite to my box, so the files can be shared safely with me), thanks
Kind regards

Jef, I've upload backup of solution to your folder.
On server I've create only one local group and add all users except apc to this group.
Audit trail report states that user apc remove group, but nobody make changes after group creation.

Hi Javier, Chris & Valentin,
We have managed to reproduce it today - issue basically caused by deleting room(s)/location, eg. by deleting any room/location the existing user groups would also be removed.
I have registered an enhancement case for this.
Many thanks for reporting and providing useful data.
Thank you,
Kind regards

Hi Jef,
Additional details on the issue, unfortunately from training hands on...:
1.The same situation happened when someone added a new room or location as well. As soon as the location is created, (user has not press saved in DCO), all users will be forced to logged out from DCO,
2. Even for those DCO users not in the DCO users group, they will be affected, i.e forced to log out from DCO.

Hi Chris,
It doesn't seem to be related. I have run several tests today, adding new room or location (with or without saving the changes) doesn't seem to affect other users or user groups.
You've mentioned "As soon as the location is created, (user has not press saved in DCO), all users will be forced to logged out from DCO." If user dose not save, then the created location is still local on the client machine (and not send to server yet) so that should not affect the solution on the server.
You have also mentioned that you are using a demo solution (DCO820 online demo), so perhaps it might have something to do with that demo setup/environment.
So I would suggest posting a new question (as a separate case) with details and steps to reproduce (I would also ask for a copy of the backup, so I can test it locally), thanks.
Kind regards

Hi team,
Is this problem also happening in DCO 8.2.1? I am thinking to move to this previous version until this issue is solved.
Regards.

Hi Javier,
Unfortunately same issue for previous versions (from 8.1.x to 8.2.2), we have just recently been aware of the problem. This issue will be fixed in the next release version (expected to be released soon, during this month), thanks.
Kind regards

Hi Jeff,
I am surprised, because I have many other different projects with DCO 8.1 and 8.2.0 and in none I have had this issue, I thought it was only in the latest versions.
Thanks.
