DCO - IP collision

Hi

As you can see in the picture below, i configured IP for port number 2 - 10.0.0.1.

At the other edge of this port there is a server, but if i configure its IP address i can configure totally different IP while it should be exactly the same...

How come it is happening ? Why isn't there some process that blocks me from doing that, just like port number 1 in this example (of course IP address of 65000 is invalid so the system gives me an alarm "Invalid format").

Of course i won't do this on purpose but if it happens in a mistake it might does collisions in the system...

Hello Sheep.

DCO does not currently have the context regarding what is actually present on a network connection so it may not be fair to assume the data on both ends of the connection has to be the same. Although perhaps there's a feature request here which allows the customer to enable this check?

For example the connection from one port to another could be a trunk connection on which many IP's are present or I have heard some customers who use connections from a server to their DMZ to record the server IP on the server side, the DMZ/internet facing IP on the DMZ connection side.
