I have received a complaint from the end-user, they are having an issue browsing DCE webpage by using Microsoft Edge (version higher than 80). Below is the snap shot from the user:
However, they have no issue browsing to the same DCE Webpage using Google Chrome. It is observed that the same issue occurs with more than 2 machines accessing DCE via Microsoft Edge. The user said there is no pop-up for login appear when they access the page.
Any ideas on the possible issue?
DCE is currently running at 7.6.0 due to the contract expired.
DCE is probably using BASIC authentication, which Microsoft has set new policy in Edge to exhibitly prevent such.
Would you mind visiting edge://policy and looking to see whether the PC in question has an AuthSchemes policy set? This can be used to disable BASIC auth.
