Hi Tavorn,

Devices that don't use the AP9618/19 or AP9630/31/35 type of NMC 1 or NMC 2 cards do not immediately alert. if a device is in an alert state. This card would work similar ot a 3rd party card where an alert would only be seen after a poll of the device. If the device poll frequency is 5 minutes, it could take that long before DCE would see any alarms on that device.

If the device is in an alert state and you do not see an alert in DCE, I would suggest right clicking the device and requesting a device scan. Assuming the device is still in this state, when the poll occurs, DCE should then see and in turn show said alert.

If DCE does not show the alert, you would want to put the device into this state again and do an SNMPwalk of the device so that it can be compared to the DDF to verify the DDF is correctly associating the OIDs with the alarms.

I believe the Easy-UPS devices, at least the single phase ones, use the generic UPS MIB. The larger 3 phase units use an NMC specific MIB (different than the standard APC PowerNet MIB). If you obtained a mib from this site for the unit, I'm assuming it's the latter. If you went with the standard DCE DDFs, then I'll assume it's the generic UPS MIB and associated DDF.

If you look here:

http://www.oidview.com/mibs/0/UPS-MIB.html

It shows the generic UPS MIB OIDs.

Thanks,

Steve.

Hi Steven

Thank for prompt respond

For there EASY UPS last time I try to test by off out put and test on Battery mode there can show status on SchneiderUPS monitoring software but DCE can't show on device alarm than I wait around 1 hour never see any alarm in DCE customer ask me why different than APC smart UPS 5-8kVA

Any way... How we can improve for APC Easy UPS SRV3KI for batter than current status.

in attach I try to mib walk from UPS SRV3KI

Hi Tavorn,

While in this testing state, did you see the status change even though there was no alarm? For instance, if you put the UPS on battery and right click the device in DCE and request a device scan, does the state change to show it's on-battery?

If so, it may be that you have to set the thresholds for these events. I do not have one of these units to test with but I know (as I mentioned) that the single phase units use the generic UPS mib. Is this a 1ph or 3ph? I see some generic UPS oids (

1.3.6.1.2.1.33)

But I also see others that I am not familiar with. I would suggest contacting the DDF folks as it may need another DDF to get this working properly.

Steve
